I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for P&G. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation. All opinions and reviews are my own.

I have 3 kids under 7, I use cloth diapers and my husband needs a new dress shirt and khakis to wear to work everyday. So needless to say, I do a LOT of laundry! A lot. I have so much laundry that my mom comes over to help me do laundry once a week. It’s pretty ridiculous.

All of us are either sensitive to scents and/or have sensitive skin, so we have been using Tide Free & Gentle Laundry Detergent and Downy Free & Gentle fabric softener for years. I started using Free & Gentle laundry products when ,y daughter was born almost 8 years ago because of her sensitive newborn skin. I’ve since stayed with the same laundry products because they work, they fit in our budget and they don’t irritate anyone’s skin.

It’s easy to forget that laundry products like detergent and fabric softener are really your #SecondSkincare. For those of us with sensitive skin, making sure that our laundry products don’t irritate our skin is just as important as finding non-irritating lotions, soaps, sunscreens and more.

Thankfully, P&G offers Free & Gentle laundry products that give those of us with sensitive skin a hypoallergenic, dye and perfume free range of products from brands we already trust like Tide, Downy and Bounce.

Laundry Care with P&G Free and Gentle

Did you know that nearly half of the adults in the US report having sensitive skin? They specifically shop for facial and body care products that are non-irritating or designed for sensitive skin, but many of them don’t realize that the products they use to care for their clothing and sheets (their second skin) are just as important!

If you or someone in your family has sensitive skin, it is important to follow a completely dye and perfume free laundry regimen. Let me explain why: About a year ago, we ran out of our usual Tide Free & Gentle laundry detergent. For most that might not be a huge deal, just run to the store and buy more, right? Well, we live 45 minutes away from Walmart and the grocery store so we try to get all out errands done at once as to not waste time and gas. Because of this, my mother decided to pick up a different brand of cheap laundry detergent at a local market just so we could do the laundry and “get it over with”. She did 8 loads of laundry with that new detergent, dried and folded everything and then proceeded to put all the clothes away in everyone’s drawers and closets. Unfortunately, the next few days were unpleasant. We quickly discovered my son was very allergic to the detergent she used and he broke out in hives as soon as he put his clean clothes on. We had to rewash every piece of the kids clothes in the entire house because after that busy day, we weren’t sure which clothes were ok and which ones weren’t. To be safe, we just rewashed everything. It was quite depressing to do all that work all over again. That day, I vowed I would never buy any other laundry detergent ever again!

I trust P&G Free & Gentle laundry detergent, fabric softener and dryer sheets because I know they are safe for our sensitive skin and noses.
